If you want the best deals, start planning your trips for next year now—and let us help (it’s our holiday gift to you). Follow Cover-More’s list of beautiful cities with free adventures to embark on in 2015.

50 Years of Singapore Celebration

At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve, Singapore will celebrate 50 years. On that night you can celebrate the countdown on the Marina Bay. There will be a specially-choreographed musical fireworks display while 20,000 wishing spheres are set afloat into the bay.

Northern Lights

Few natural wonders compare to the Aurora Borealis along the Northern skyline. Best of all, it is completely free to observe. Plan wisely because weather conditions are important here. Cloudy nights will only bring you disappointment. You have the best chance if seeing the Northern Lights from Alaska, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The best times to view the lights are from late September to late March. The best time of night is between 10 and 11pm, but you can also see this light show in the evening hours.

Symphony of Lights

Visiting Hong Kong can be enchanting and invigorating and one of the most beautiful sights in the city is completely free to view. The symphony of lights is a spectacle show that begins every night at 8pm and moves across the night sky. This light show is accompanied by fireworks on special occasions such as Chinese New Year and has English commentary on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Kensington Museums

Located in London, the Kensington Museums are a collection of free museums with many exhibits that will be exciting for the whole family. The Natural History Museum takes a step back in time and shows many of the specimens collected by Charles Darwin himself. The Science Museum beholds the world’s first steam train, and the Victoria & Albert Museum is dedicated to displaying 5,000 years of fashion and design (sure to please any fashionistas in your group).
