Explore Australia’s coastline
Australia is surrounded by the ocean and takes pride in their coastline. From pristine white sandy beaches with crystal clear water at Whitehaven Beach in Queensland to limestone formations known as the 12 Apostles along the Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia has no shortage of beautiful coastlines. Among these two beauties, some other magnificent beaches to check out are Cable Beach in Broome, Western Australia where you can ride a camel along the beach at sunset, Hyams Beach in New South Wales which is renowned to have the whitest sand in the world and Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast in Queensland is the place to catch a wave.
Adventure is calling
If you are more the adventurous type then you are spoilt for choice in Australia. Whether you choose to explore outback Australia by 4WD, camp under the stars and see aboriginal cave drawings or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef in tropical North Queensland, there is something for everyone. Some other ideas include going white-water-rafting down the Franklin River in Tasmania, taking a tour around Uluru in the Northern Territory, sailing the Whitsundays in Queensland, taking a helicopter ride over the 12 Apostles and hiking the Snowy Mountains.
Visit Wineries
With a worldwide reputation for award-winning wines and over 60 designated wine regions to explore, visiting a winery is a must if you are a wine lover. In South Australia, you can drive the Barossa Valley’s food and wine trial or explore vineyards by bike. In New South Wales you can find the Hunter Valley Wine Country about 2 hours away from Sydney and join a tasting masterclass to sample rare vintages. The Yarra Valley is Victoria’s oldest wine region and has a global reputation for its Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. However, if you’re not a massive wine fan than luckily for you the regions are also known for their local breweries and artisan cider producers.
