Existing medical conditions we automatically cover
At Cover-More, we automatically provide cover for several existing medical conditions (listed below with their individual criteria) for no additional premium provided each traveller included in the policy meets all the following criteria:
- All the traveller’s existing medical conditions are on the list.
- The traveller has not been hospitalised or required treatment from a medical practitioner in the last 12 months for any of the listed conditions
- The traveller is not under investigation for any of the listed conditions
- The traveller is not awaiting investigation, surgery, treatment, or procedures for any of the listed conditions, and
- The traveller’s condition satisfies the relevant criteria for that condition.
If not, the traveller will need to complete our online medical assessment and declare all their conditions, including those we automatically include. This is a requirement even if you don’t wish to apply for cover for any conditions not automatically included.
Note: When we refer to a timeframe in the criteria of an automatically included condition in the list below, this is based on the “relevant time” unless specified otherwise. “Relevant time” means:
- For Single Trip policyholders: at the time the policy is issued.
- For Annual Multi-Trip policyholders: the first time at which any part of the relevant trip is paid for or the time at which the policy is issued, whichever occurs last.
