The name soufflé comes from the French verb ‘to blow’. This dish is made from eggs and cheese, and is seriously going to blow your mind. Its light and creamy texture will leave your mouth watering. Yep, it’s downright perfection and the best place for it is Le Soufflé – how ironic, huh? From pear and blue cheese soufflé to salmon soufflé, this restaurant has among the best in the business. Quiche lorraine

If there’s one dish that should be named the national dish of France, it’s the one and only quiche lorraine. The savoury cheese and bacon pie is made all over France and across the world. And you know the best thing about it? It can be served hot or cold, and will be sure to rock your world. Escargots

A trip to Paris is not complete if you haven’t tried escargots. Cooked in butter, garlic and parsley, these snails are worth a try (remember don’t always judge a book by its cover!). L’Escargot Montorgueil have served up snails for more than two centuries – so you’re guaranteed they know a thing or two about this traditional French cuisine.  And wait till’ you walk inside. Creme brulee

This is an all-time French favourite – the classic creme brulee. It’s a rich, custard dessert topped with a layer of caramel almost like a hard-toffee crust.  Just a short walk from the Eiffel Tower, Le Volant Basque serves up some of the best creme brulee with a super crispy golden top. It’s the perfect way to ‘wow’ your special someone at the end of a romantic evening.
