      Rules for responsible use of social media  

      Thank you for joining Cover-More ("Cover-More" or "we" or "us" or “our”) on social media.  We prioritise ensuring that content about us aligns with our values and brand.  We recognise that various social media channels may provide information about our products, promotions and customer service.  When you act/ post/ comment in respect of us, you agree to do so in accordance with these rules.


      Is the content your own?

      You should ensure that you own the content of your post/ comment.   When sharing user-generated content (e.g., photos, videos, stories, comments or copy) on our social media pages, please ensure that:

      • You have the right to share the content
      • The content does not infringe on the rights of others, including privacy or copyright.
         

      No third party advertising

      Our social media is not a space for promoting third-party services or businesses unless approved by us. Please avoid posting:

      • Unsolicited advertisements, affiliate links, or spam
      • Any content designed to deceive or mislead others.
         

      When may we delete posts & remove/block users?

      While we appreciate feedback, we may delete posts that we decide at our absolute discretion are inappropriate or don't comply with these rules.  We may also remove or block users at our absolute discretion if a user fails to comply with these rules.

      Inappropriate posts or behaviour include the following:
      Posts that contain:

      • Defamatory, obscene, offensive or violent language and/or images
      • Attacks on specific groups or any comments meant to harass, threaten or abuse an individual
      • Hateful or discriminatory comments regarding race, ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or political beliefs
      • Links or comments containing sexually explicit content material
      • Websites or files containing viruses that could damage the operation of computers, mobile devices or equipment of others
      • Commercial solicitations
      • Unreasonable or inappropriate disclosure of someone else's personal or confidential information
      • Content not owned by the user or otherwise infringes another person’s intellectual property rights.
      • Posts or behaviour that does not comply with applicable laws and regulations 
      • Trolling, spamming, fraudulent or deliberately misleading posts
      • Repetitive or continuous posts, including complaints that have already been responded to by us.
         

      Customer enquiries

      For customer enquiries, including claims, check out https://www.covermore.com.au/contact-us for further information. We won't discuss in detail your service or claim enquiry in public pages.

      Our team will regularly monitor our social media pages between 9am–5pm (NZST/NZDT), Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

      When a response is needed, we'll aim to respond to your comments and messages on this page during business hours. 

       

      Responsible use of your personal information


      Your privacy is important to us. Remember that posting on public pages means anyone can see your information, so you should only share information you are happy for the general public to see. It is inadvisable to share personal information on social media pages; information such as your phone number, email address, policy or claim information. You are also bound by the privacy policies of the relevant social media sites.

      If we believe that your enquiry requires us to identify you (for example, as our customer), we cannot answer you in the public section of the channel. Instead, we will let you know and your enquiry can progress by private or direct messages. Sometimes, we may ask you to contact our customer service teams directly.

      Use of your posts 

      By posting information in respect of Cover-More, you grant Cover-More and its associates  the right to use and/or distribute any content posted by you in any manner on social media platforms or for internal purposes (this includes reposting or resharing your content) without any legal or monetary obligation to you. Where Cover-More intends to use your content for other marketing or promotional purposes, other than those specified above, Cover-More will endeavour to seek your consent prior to such use.

      The content posted by users are the views of the relevant user and does not reflect the views or opinions of Cover-More and/or its associates, who do not confirm the accuracy of such content. Cover-More and its associates do not endorse, and are not accountable for, any views expressed by third parties using social media platforms.
